Celebrated our anniversary last night, I have a hard time picking which day to celebrate since we got married on leap year, but since Casey had to work a double on the 28th the decision was made for us...

Here is to many many more years!!

Update

Spent Valentines in Los Angelas learning about lung transplants.
WOW we got a ton of info, about 3 1/2 hours listening and asking questions with the transplant coordinator. He has not gotten the approaval from Kaiser yet. Still has a few more tests to do and hopefully on March 8th his doctors will go to the board and present his case for a transplant. If the board approaves the transplant he will go to UCLA and they will have to approave him for a transplant. It seems so hard for this all to work out, there is one thing after another and Dad is so weak, and in so much pain it seems impossible, all the trips back and forth all the test, and then finding the right donor.. I am trying not to be discouraged, I know with God all things are possible and if it is the Lords will then it will all work out in His timing. Just gotta keep praying and being there to encourage my Dad.

Ok next thing my birthday the big "34" wow! half way to 68! I have to start excersizing and eating better! this week I am trying to eat at home more and cook food. I am not a good cook and I do not like cooking, but if I want to be healthy and here for my future grandkids I need to figure it out! and fast. Laura and Jermey and Jack stayed the night Thurdays night (my bday night) Friday me and Laura got breakfast and then I bought myself a Scentsy warmer from Sundae and boy do I love it! it is White and black and so cute! Went to Micheals and spent my gift card from christmas. Had a nice day, it was raining and Luke and the girls came and ending up staying the night, the 8 of us NOT including the little Smiths went thrift store shopping. Talk about funny is Luke going crazy in the Goodwill LOL>. what a hoot! he got like 2 jeans, some workout clothes and some shirts. Only thing is he refuses to try things on! that is rule #325 when thrift shopping..
ok gotta get these babies busy I have 2 days left with Hailey and then she starts preschool. I might have her 4 days in March.
It is a dark cloudy day today. I want to scrap and make some cards so badly.. I am really going to make an effort to do it this weekend! I did complete the backdrop for Mr. Mackenzie for Mr. and Miss BCS I will post pics of that next!

my First Super Bowl party

So we had a idea to surprise dad at his house and have a party!

After church we got all the stuff together, I made 28 burritos, crab dip and crackers, Laura brought rice krispie treats, and salsa and chips, and Luke made a cheesecake and cottage cheese dip and chips.

around 3 pm we knocked on the door, Kathy was a little mad we didnt let her in on the surprise, but we didnt want to give her a chance to tell us no or to tell dad. Karly was so happy to see everyone she kept bouncing up and down lol..

Dad talked the entire time we were there, just the look on his face was priceless, we had such a blessed time with him, no cussing, no angry words, no on got in a fight, there was no drinking or smoking, just family spending a Sunday together watching the game. The kids mostly played and Jack followed them around. They all came in for the coin toss and the half time show to see Fergie and the Black eyed peas lol.. Such a good time! I pray we have many more!! Here is a group shot..

Feb. 2nd 2011

ok so dad got the ok by his doctor for a transplant, he is doing lots of testing this week to see if he can get a new lung. He is really worried and so am I He hasnt been able to do anything for 2 years, he is sitting in his recliner for the past few months not even leaving the house, just walking to the bathroom takes all his strength and then it takes hours for him to gain any strength back. if you are reading this say a prayer for him, he could really use it right now. If he doesn't get a transpant and be able to start living again, pray he finds salvation and peace. He is a good guy, maybe not the best dad, but he is my dad and Luke, Lauras, Katies and karlys dad.

Softball started..

Remi is in softball again for the third year we have games for the next 6 saturday, which for me means snack bar lady. I enjoy running it, kinda like a "real" job lol...

Week 1 with 3 babies

Ok so I was a little nervous to have a newborn again... Maybe I got a little stressed over nothing, this week went great, it was only 3 days but things went well, they all slept well, got along well and the days flew by. I still need to learn time management a little better, and plan meals a better, but the I will say I enjoyed it a little, the baby is just precious! for a second I would consider having another one, she just lays there and smiles at me, when I feed her she stares at me and little drops of milk drip down her chin, it is just so cute... The toddlers fought a little, but it is nothing to compared to a 6 and 7 year old fighting and arguing, and needing constant referring! They will just chill out and play with a baby doll, spend 10 minutes putting their shoes on.. Oh it is also nice that Hailey is potty trained! WOW now if I could just get Jaycie trained my life would be a little easier..

First digital layouts

well finding time and space to scrap has really been hard for me the past few months so I decided to take the digital route and see how I like that, here is my first layouts and I must say I am really enjoying this! they are a little more pricey to get printed out in a 12x12 size so I might go to 8x8 and see how that works out for me. I used Photoshop elements 9 (there is a free 30 day trial) thru adobe, and I use a couple free kits I downloaded online and I bought a kit from 2peas.

OK the kitchen hasnt happend as fast as we would like it to but things come up, so today we finally got to do something to the house to make it "ours." Cost about 100.00 for 2 shelves and a bar.. and we kinda picked a lame spot for the bar because I wont be able to get things on the top shelve unless it is really slim without taking the bar down, BUT my goal is to NOT have a millon thigns hanging up there like at my old house. I have been working so hard to keep this place cleaned up and slightly organized. I hasve thrown out about 10 truck loads of things either in my moms dumpster or taken to the Goodwill.

Monday Dec 27th

I made my family a huge feast for breakfast, Luke and the girls even came to eat. It was such a wonderful christmas, I only wish mom didnt have to work so she couldv'e been here to eat and open gifts with us..

Remi got her itouch that she really wanted and so far she hasnt put it down! she also got lots of hello kitty things!

My future Rainy Swift, PawPaw gave her his old guitar it is 40 years old from Germany but she is thrilled to learn to play! plus she got her bed topper that is where is spends most her time so I thought why not make it comfy for her lol..

reagan and her LOOT she loves the bean bag chair and her magazines, she was the eaisiest to shop for I knew it wouldnt take much to make her happy, oh she LOVES her just dance 2 wii game.

the Little Smiths stayed the night, Mom didnt because she had to be at work early the next morning :(

1 week from today and it will all be over

Took a trip to my sisters last night, SCARY drive home, it was raining like crazy, foggy, cold, I was really nervous but made it home. We went to the mall while we were there, I cannot belive how NOT in the mood to shop I am this year, I do not seem to like spending money on gifts that I dont know people will love. I dont want to just buy things to buy them I want to be sure the recipient will LOVE them, I want something that the person will say WOW she really thought of me and took time to get me something I could use or enjoy! SO looks like I wont be buying that much this year! I did get a beautiful new entertainment center for the living room. I am so proud of myself too, I have been wanting something for about 5 years to make our living room a room not just a place to watch tv but to make it feel like a house. the tv has always beedn just floating in the room with DVD player and Direct tv box balanced on the top at any moment looking like they might fall off! Now it looks like something you would see in a grown-ups house. I am proud of it! Even more proud of what it cost me, I found it on craigslist for $200.00 the guy delivered it and set it up for another $20.00. Worked out perfect, Casey had to work 3 doubles in a row and with Christmas around the corner I wanted it the room before we have guest over. oh and with the rain coming it would be hard to move without getting it soaked. We are setting it up the rest of the way today and filling it up!

Ok yes we are a little goofy! Picked up a santa suit for my craft fair, and couldnt resist Casey trying it on.. He looks so adorable..
Tomorrow is my big craft fair. I am nervous about how this will turn out but so excited! I have 28 people signed up to sell. I will get there early to decorate a littlle and make sure the tables are out of the way.. Gonna be warm, no wind, and hopefully lots of shoppers!! Will post pictures!

27 days till Christmas

Had a nice 4 days off, not back to school for the kids, and the countdown begins, 15 school days till they are off for Christmas break.. Remi and Reagan are fighting like crazy these days, Reagan thinks she is the boss and Remi likes to show her who is boss.. Rainy and Remi didnt fight like this, Rainy just let Remi think she was in charge and everyone was happy.

Did some blackfriday shopping, next year will be at the stores at midnight, 4 am is way to late to get the deals.. Casey was in line at target at 3:50.. waited 2 hours for a gift :( saved about 50.00 so not too bad.

Oh I started drinking coffee!! what was I thinking, this stuff is worse than crack, (not like I have taken crack) but 1 time at my sisters I have a cup and next thing I know I out stocking the stores for a deal with a coffee pot with a timer!!

Got my new dishes I went FIESTA. I am so happy with it, I have wanted "grown up" dishes for a while! I bought 8 different colors 2 sets of four and 1 set of the other 4 colors. I cant wait to get more!!!

So much going on, we moved my sister moved, and getting settled in. LOVE our new house, working on making it home..

I have super busy with crafts, the church and the kids school, seems like I have something going on everyday of the week.. Rainy did her 2nd year in volleyball, Remi just finished her 2nd year in soccer. Reagan is cheering for the first time and still tap dancing. I am going to post a bunch of pictures.. These are mostly so I can rememver when they were taken. Fall 2010 has been one for the books for us. Casey has worked a crazy amount at work some weeks 80 hours or more. He has had maybe 2 days off in the past month. The over time is good but not good for getting projects done around here.

I had my first craft fair and had so much fun I am hosting my OWN for the womens ministy for our church. Pray things go well, I would love to do this once or twice a year for the womens ministry! Tonight I am doing stockings for the angel tree, I have about 5 or 6 women meeting me at the church, I enjoyed it so much last year, I wanted to do it again this year.
